About Toon Schut  

Toon Schut, born in Dordrecht, began his career as a singer by participating in a lip-sync show. He approached this seriously and brought along many supporters who responded very enthusiastically, which eventually led him to start singing for real. He took singing lessons from, among others, Wiesje Westerlaken, who is also known for providing backing vocals for several artists. Toon Schut also completed a musical theater program at the Frank Sanders Academy in Amsterdam. All of this was to fulfill his dream of becoming a folk singer.

Parties in Torremolinos  

In addition to all his performances in the Netherlands, Toon Schut can also regularly be found in Spain. In the town of Torremolinos, where many Dutch guests can be found, he often performs as a singer. He performs there with several artists who are also often invited to sing there, such as Peter Beense and Dario.

Songs by Toon Schut  

Toon Schut has also released several songs himself, including ‘Mona Lisa’, which was released on June 16, 2023. Later, he released ‘Deze Zomer’. Together with producer Quincy Wilson and artist Raymon Hermans, he released ‘Gabriella’ and ‘Proosten’. Because he also wanted to write a song about his own roots, he wrote a song about ‘Casanova In De Kroeg’, which refers to his life on a trailer park.  

His self-written song ‘Liefde en Geluk’ was released under the musical direction of guitarist Zonzo Basily. This song has appeared in many music charts.
