Make your next production featuring big cats a safe and pleasant experience!Rick Glassey has devoted most of his life to working with tigers, leopards and lions. He has the experience, knowledge, dedication and respect for these animals to elicit the most from them... safely... for your next production. In the last 30+ years, Rick has accomplished some of the finest big cat work in the movie business including "Sirga" (or "L'enfant"), a French film about a young boy's relationship with lions in Africa, and "Passion in the Desert", an almost-love story between a man and a leopard shot in the Jordanian desert. Rick made the intimate relationships between the animal actors and humans believably real... safely... without the use of split-screen or other cinematic devices. Some of his other movie credits (see credit list) include "Beastmaster 2-- Through the Portal of Time" (tigers and black leopard), Walt Disney's "The Jungle Book" and "Jungle Book II-- Mowgli's Story" (tigers and black leopard), "George of the Jungle" (lion), and "Dr. Dolittle" (tiger). Not only does Rick train and work his own cats, he is often hired to consult and coordinate jobs and stunts involving other trainers and their cats. In 2001, he completed animal work on two productions for Birds and Animals Unlimited: "Second Hand Lions" with African lioness, and "Hidalgo" that was shot in Morocco with leopards. Most recently Rick worked on "Evan Almighty" with a variety of big cats, as well as doing some preliminary cougar research for "Beverly Hills Chihuahua". Experienced. Safe. Humane.
